You and your generosity continue to enable many ministries to make a difference in our local communities, throughout the nation and in the world today.
This summer, you enabled me and a group of over 20 former classmates, friends and family to engage in a habitat build in my home-town of Yankton, South Dakota supporting a family who recently transitioned to the United States from Afghanistan. The Abraham family, a family of six, will in a few short months have a house they will make into a home.
I have attached a news article from a weekly periodical, The Yankton County Observer, who featured this build as a human interest story for their readership. I sincerely hope you will enjoy it.
Lastly, I want to give a huge THANK YOU to our amazing quilting ministry here at Christ Lutheran Church. Although COVID has created a variety of challenges for us all, the quilting ministry has thrived during this time. I know the Abraham family is so very thankful to have this amazing token of LOVE from those they have not met. They will wrap themselves in the quilts you have made, and during those cold winter nights in South Dakota will feel the love of God through the work of your hands. Well done good and faithful servants.
Peace and blessings to all.
